First ICC Training for Preparing Project Applications Held at University “VITEZ” Within the INTECO Project

On 27 June 2026, University “VITEZ” organized its first “ICC Training for Preparing Project Application” within the framework of the Erasmus+ project INTECO - Improving the Capacity of International Cooperation and Economic Cooperation of Western Balkan Higher Education Institutions.

The training was conducted as part of Work Package 4 (WP4), Deliverable D4.1 - Local ICC Trainings for Preparing Project Application, representing the first of four planned training sessions aimed at strengthening institutional capacities in international cooperation and project proposal development.

The main objective of the training was to familiarize participants with the fundamental principles of preparing Erasmus+ project applications, international funding opportunities, and the essential components of developing high-quality and competitive project proposals.

The training programme covered key topics related to the structure and opportunities of the Erasmus+ programme, identification of relevant calls for proposals, application requirements, and the main stages of project idea development. Particular attention was devoted to needs analysis, defining project objectives, identifying target groups, planning activities and expected results, and establishing effective international partnerships.

Through presentations, practical examples, and interactive discussions, participants were introduced to the main principles of project proposal development, with an emphasis on aligning project ideas with the priorities and requirements of the Erasmus+ programme. The practical component focused on developing initial project concepts and exploring their potential for further elaboration into international project proposals.

Special emphasis was placed on the role of the International Cooperation Centre (ICC) in providing informational, advisory, and administrative support throughout the project application process, as well as the importance of continuously strengthening project development competencies among academic and administrative staff.

The training marked the beginning of a four-part training programme designed to progressively enhance participants' knowledge and practical skills in project preparation. The subsequent sessions will build upon the foundations established during the first training, contributing to improved project proposal quality, stronger international partnerships, and increased participation of University “VITEZ” in European and international programmes.

The implementation of this activity contributes to the overall objectives of the INTECO project, particularly the strengthening of institutional capacities, the internationalization of higher education, and the development of sustainable international cooperation among Western Balkan higher education institutions.

The INTECO project is co-funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ programme.
